How long it's been around
Hyaluronic acid fillers in the labia majora have been used cosmetically for over a decade. The technique favours conservative volume placed in a smooth contour rather than aggressive filling.
What we treat with it
Volume loss in the labia majora producing a sunken or deflated appearance after weight loss, childbirth, or with age. Some patients also seek it to reduce visibility of the labia minora by adding volume to the surrounding majora.
The honest version
Why labial puff sometimes disappoints.
Labial Puff disappoints when too much volume is placed, when symmetry isn't carefully mapped, or when filler is placed in the wrong tissue plane.
The instinct to use more filler for a more dramatic result rarely produces a better outcome here. The labia majora are forgiving but not infinite — over-filled tissue can look unnaturally distended or feel firm under clothing. A conservative volume with the option to add at follow-up is the safer path.
Symmetry matters more than volume. Slight pre-existing asymmetry that wasn't mapped before injection can be made worse if equal volume is placed on both sides. The pre-injection planning — not the injection itself — is what separates good results from problematic ones.

Consultation
Before any Labial Puff is scheduled, you meet Dr. Rockhead in person at 9 Devon Road. He reviews your medical history, examines you as appropriate, and explains the options — including the option not to proceed. You leave with a clear written plan and a quote.

Preparation
Avoid alcohol 24 hours before. Avoid NSAIDs, aspirin, fish oil and other blood thinners for 7 days where medically safe. Disclose all medications, prior filler placements, and pregnancy status.

The Labial Puff placement
After topical numbing has taken effect, Dr. Rockhead injects hyaluronic acid filler into the labia majora using a fine needle or blunt-tip cannula. Volume per side is documented for future reference. Symmetry is assessed mid-procedure and at completion. The session itself takes 15–30 minutes.

Recovery & follow-up
Avoid tight clothing, sexual activity, hot baths/saunas, and intense exercise for 1 week. Ice gently for any bruising. Sleep on your back if comfortable for the first 1–2 nights. We see you back at 2–3 weeks to assess the settled result and discuss any top-up.
