Blood is drawn, usually from the arm, and spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma, which is then injected with a fine needle. A numbing cream is applied to the skin beforehand. Skip alcohol for 24 hours beforehand. Tell us about every medication and supplement you take, and let us know if there's any chance you may be pregnant or breastfeeding.
Right after your visit
Avoid heat, vigorous exercise, hot tubs, saunas, and facials for the first 24 hours. Skip makeup for six to twelve hours so the puncture points settle cleanly. Sleep on your back the first night if you can. Ice gently for any swelling. We email a check-in two weeks later.
